Waterberg EFF back with confidence

Structures of the Economic Freedom Fighters (IEC) from parts of the Waterberg returned from the party’s much-publicised manifesto launch with a spring in the step.

Bela-Bela EFF co-ordinator, Sello Moswoeu, told The BEAT that about 500 “fighters” from across the region attended the launch held in the Pretoria township of Soshanguve.

He said the party’s election machinery was well-oiled and ready for the task ahead, with specific reference to campaigning in the Waterberg.

It is generally-agreed that Limpopo – and by extension the Waterberg – is EFF leader Julius Malema country.

It was not likely to be smooth-sailing for the EFF in the home province ‘though, with the ANC face in the elections, President Cyril Ramaphosa, also hailing from Limpopo.

It is well known that Ramaphosa spends some of his time at his property on the outskirts of Bela-Bela.
