SuperSpar Bela-Bela wins community league cup

The Super Spar Bela-Bela soccer team has won the local Workers’ League.

The Super Spar Bela-Bela soccer team has won the local Workers’ League.

The league consists of nine teams playing fixtures on weekdays under floodlights at the local Sunfa Stadium.

The teams are namely Super Spar Spar bela-Bela, SAPS, Bela Mall, Bruna Mills, Choppies, Merchandisers, as well as Midway Chicks, which is divided into three teams, Day Break, Bopha Iphondo and Merino.

Merchandisers’ Emanuel Motha was elected chairperson of the league, with SAPS’ Moji Malebye as his deputy.

Malebye said the league was established in order to keep the workers fit and enforce cohesion among them.

The tournament commenced on 3 December and ended in February, with the semi-finals and finals taking place during the last weekdays of the month.
