Warmbaths Circuit Schools’ Sports chairperson, Sekatudi Kgwebane, said the knockout matches were scheduled to take place at Bela-Bela High School Stadium.

The draw for the specific fixtures were scheduled for midweek.

Winners from the contest on Saturday would represent the schools’ circuit at the Waterberg regional leg of the finals at a yet to be determined venue and date.

He said it was expected under-12 schools’ teams would participate from primary schools in and around Bela-Bela.

The 2019 under-12 Danone Nations Cup is the biggest tournament of its kind in the whole world.

According to the organisers, the tournament has, over the past 20 years, inspired millions of youngsters from around the world.

South Africa is one of two countries to have won the tournament three times, in 2003, 2007 and 2009.
