School grateful for generous donation towards archery

On Saturday 23 March National Archery in The Schools Programme (NASP) donated equipment for archery to Leeuwdrift Primary School in Vaalwater.

This generous contribution was made possible by the Jack Cheetham Memorial Award funding.

The event was a glamorous occasion where dignitaries, educators, parents and learners were among those that attended. Wilhelm Greeff, president of NASP-SA, presented the new sporting equipment to Tshepo Manaka, headmaster of Leeuwdrift Primary School.

Shannon Carlton, captain of the Junior Protea NASP team was delighted with the over-whelming interest in the sport.

She motivated learners of the school to dedicate their time and effort towards this wonderful sports discipline as it can mould and reform a participant’s character.

Mpho Mokgohloa, educator and NASP coach, said on behalf of Leeuwdrift Primary School that they are very grateful for the wonderful contribution.

The benefit of participation will not only be an asset to the school but they will make the sponsors proud.

The coordinator in Limpopo, Heidi Carlton told The Post that NASP archery will be keeping an eye on the potential and discipline of the learners of Leeuwdrift Primary School.
