A suspect, Tebogo Simon Kobe (22), was arrested on the same day in the Skierluk section of the township.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Frans Maponya said that a knife was found in the suspect’s possession when he was arrested.
Kobe first appeared in court on Monday 23 June.
He remains in custody and will appear for a formal bail application in the Bela-Bela Magistrate Court on Tuesday 22 July. Maponya said the investigation is ongoing.
