Night time girls
Three alleged backstreet call girls and a pimp appeared before the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court on charges related to extortion, theft and impersonating a police officer.
Three alleged backstreet call girls and a pimp appeared before the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court on charges related to extortion, theft and impersonating a police officer.
The case is a direct sequel to what police sources described as a series of alleged “deals” between a local business executive, and the call girls.
Things seem to have taken a nasty turn after the pimp allegedly collected a sum of R1 500 from the businessman at a well-known wholesale store, and attempted to solicit even more funds from the
latter.
Police sources said at first the businessman did pay the amount of R1 500, and the same amount during a second visit.
On the third attempt the businessman, according to the police sources, refused to pay.
That was when the pimp allegedly threatened the businessman that the pimp was part of the police undercover operatives.
“At this point the businessman became annoyed and decided to report the matter to the Bela-Bela SAPS,” the police sources explained.
Three suspects – among them the alleged call girls and the pimp – were released on R1 000 bail each by the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court, and were expected to appear in court for the second time
mid-week.
The police sources further disclosed that a fourth suspect, a female person, had offered to become the State witness.
The BEAT has decided to withhold the names of the suspects until a thorough check of the potential legal implications.
