Youth leaders invited for DA programme
The DA has thrown open an invitation to innovative young people to throw in their lot with the party’s DA Young Leaders Programme.
The DA has thrown open an invitation to innovative young people to throw in their lot with the party’s DA Young Leaders Programme.
Dynamic and innovative individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 are advised to apply to be part of the programme.
Modimolle-Mookgophong DA leader Marlene van Staden said applications for the Class of 2020 are open until Monday 9 September.
She said the intensive, year-long, part-time political leadership development course is known around the world as the gold standard in political development.
Van Staden expressed pride in Bianca Mocke from Mookgophong, who was the 2019 participant.
Mocke was the only young leader chosen from Limpopo and is now a councillor in the municipality.
The party stated in their announcement that now more than ever, they need young people to help South Africa overcome its challenges, and the party remains committed to developing the leaders of
today and tomorrow.
Now in its 13th year of existence, the programme counts among its graduates over 60 DA public representatives, currently serving the South African public in various ways.
