Spring has sprung

A blast of springtime

The township of Phagameng in Modimolle will on Saturday 7 September host a cheeky “show-a-leg” picnic, as springtime breezes in with a series of outdoor celebrations lined up for the length and breadth of the Waterberg.

The TRV Live Band will top the entertainment event, with young and old encouraged to dress up in shorts, if not the kinkiest of miniskirts.

The picnic in Phagameng — open to even little ones — will be held at Molalatladi Pools.

In Bela-Bela Great Warrior and Ulta Plus events management companies will host a “denim-and-white” party, featuring the famous Gauteng-based Snow Deep, Tumza D’kota and Jusi wa Meropa.

Fun-lovers are encouraged to arrive dressed in denims, rounded off with a white shirt or T-shirt, for the outdoor event scheduled for Bela-Bela Stadium on Saturday.

Chisanyama in Bela-Bela is hosting a spring party, also on Saturday, featuring Pretoria-based Team Mosha and DJ Dazz.

On Sunday 8 September in Modimolle, Hapido Café is hosting a Spring Sunday, featuring the ever popular TRV Live Band.

As recent as last Saturday 31 August, the Dads-in-the-Picture movement hosted a camp for dads and their off-spring on the banks of Hartbeespoort Dam in the North West.

A total of five super daddies arrived all the way from Bela-Bela.

Bela-Bela-based organiser Mesh Kekana said a similar event would be hosted in Bela-Bela during the month of September.
