Bodybuilder Thabo Mabotja shines in Italian international showdown
Bela-Bela bodybuilding sensation Thabo Mabotja has returned from a five-day working trip to the Italian city of Turin, with a silver medal (second position), tucked neatly under his arm.
Bela-Bela bodybuilding sensation Thabo Mabotja has returned from a five-day working trip to the Italian city of Turin, with a silver medal (second position), tucked neatly under his arm.
He jetted out of South Africa for the International Bodybuilding Federation contest on Wednesday 4 September, with the sole purpose to represent the home region well.
The man-of-muscles returned home on Sunday 8 September, to share his glory with family and friends.
He said the journey was an eye-opener, opening up a whole new world in engagements with bodybuilders arriving from across the world.
Mabotja won the Torando Wall (70 kg) category of the international contest, obtaining an incredible second position, given that he competed against the best form many parts of the world.
In October he is heading for the city of Llubljana, Slovania, in central Europe for the WorldWide bodybuilding contest.
Mabotja said his trip to Italy was made a memorable experience through the generosity of his sponsors, namely ward councillor Spando Maluleka, NTK and Hassims Supply Store.
