The Dads in the Picture (DITP) initiative is planning to take its roadshow for a camp in Bela-Bela with scores of dads and their off-spring expected to arrive in the town, from across various provinces.

The camp is scheduled from 28 February to 1 March next year, following a camp described as a roaring success in the North West lakeside town of Hartbeespoort Dam.

The camp at Harbeespoort Dam was held from Friday 30 August to Sunday 1 September.

According to its website, the DITP is an organisation of “like-minded fathers, who saw a need for fathers to play an active role in the lives of children.”

The initiative aims to nudge fathers from across the South African nation to share ideas around the role of men, and what was needed to improve it.

“The vision of Dads in the Picture is to encourage every dad to take responsibility in the upbringing of children in a safe environment.

The camp is open to fathers, grandfathers, uncles and brothers who want to make a positive impact in children’s lives.
