The conclusion of the Waterberg Men’s League first round of matches is just two fixtures away, with Mookgophong Junior Stars FC hanging in there at the top of the league log standings.

The log leaders will on Saturday 18 January host fifth-placed Modimolle Celtic FC, after almost slipping with a 0-all against Bela-Bela Diesel N Dust FC (4) last weekend.

Fortunately for Mookgophong Junior Stars FC, reigning Waterberg Men’s League champions, Modimolle Terrors FC (2), lost 1-0 to homeboys Modimolle Troublemakers FC (9).

Modimolle Terrors FC is expected to do much better in a local derby against Modimolle Multinature FC (11).

High-scoring Qualitho FC (3), which thrashed tail-enders Bela-Bela Swagger FC (12) 7-0 last weekend, have an away fixture against Bela-Bela Diesel N Dust FC.

Seventh-placed Bela-Bela Soccer Academy FC, which played to a 1-all draw with Vaalwater Boys 2 Men FC (8) last weekend, have what looks like an easy fixture against struggling Swagger FC.

Surprise package Modimolle Troublemakers FC (9) will play hosts to Mookgophong Barcelona FC (6) at Modimolle’s Ephraim Mogale Stadium.

Vaalwater Boys 2 Men FC has a home derby fixture against struggling homeboys, Vaalwater Volcano FC (10).

All fixtures are scheduled for 3.00 on Saturday.
