Potential voters were advised to visit polling stations to verify their particulars.
Waterberg IEC supervisor, Malome Nkoana, said a total of seven polling stations would be up and running in Ward 9, opening doors from 8 am to 5 pm.
The Ward 9 by-elections are scheduled for Tuesday 17 July.
The by-elections were being organised after the Ward 9 Councillor, the Democratic Alliance’s Kobus van der Merwe, had resigned.
He has since relocated to the Western Cape town of George.
The electoral commission on Friday 18 May to Sunday 20 May, conducted a pre-poll targeted communication and registration drive.
Ward 9 encompases Masakhane, Spa Park, Mountain View and parts of the Bela-Bela surburbia.
