Date set for Waterberg ANC regional conference

The on-off Waterberg ANC regional conference has been scheduled to take place in Mokopane from Friday 6 July to Sunday 8 July.

The newly-elected ANC Limpopo provincial executive committee (PEC) has confirmed that regional conferences for both the Peter Mokaba and Waterberg regions would go ahead.

The one for the Waterberg ANC would be held at the Hans van Rensburg Hall in Mokopane.

ANC provincial secretary, Soviet Lekganyane, said the dates and venues were decided upon during its meeting in Polokwane on Wednesday 27 June.

Conferences for both regions were postponed numerous times for over a year, with the province holding its conference before the regions of the ANC in the Waternerg and Peter Mokaba could convene.

Meanwhile, Modimolle’s Thandi Moraka was elected into the provincial working committee, as was Donald Selamolela from Capricorn.
