Limpopo Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) chairperson Jossey Buthane led the party entourage into Modimolle’s Extension 12 in recent weeks, to officially hand over a road and water project.
Among the leaders who accompanied the chairperson, were central command team member Delisile Ngwenya, member of provincial legislature, Mapula Ledwaba, and provincial deputy secretary Charles Mohlala.

Residents of the newly-established settlement, and others from various parts of Modimolle filled a marquee tent erected next to the reservoir.
In 2017, the EFF spearheaded a campaign where the locals were encouraged to occupy a piece of land, known today as Extension 12.
While the EFF leader was addressing the locals, a grader was busy levelling roads for the residents of Extension 12.
Buthane said his party was responding to the community’s plea for water and proper roads.
“As I speak, a grader is busy with the roads, and a borehole will be drilled so you can have access to water,” he said.
The EFF efforts came against the backdrop of Modimolle Mayor Marlene van Staden unveiling the R25-million Water Services Infrastructure Grant to address water supply challenges in the
Phagameng Township.
Over and above, Nylstene and Syferfontein Kleinmyn have donated water tanks and boreholes to residents of Extension 13.
The blot on this most welcome development is that one of the water tankers was stolen shortly after installation.
