The Winter Warmth Campaign initiated by Africa Muslims Agency, in collaboration with Salaam Foundation, touched the lives of 90 Modimolle family members who were surprised with blankets.
The presentation was held at the local Lekkerbreek Primary School on Tuesday 24 July, where 90 deserving children and their parents were invited to the event.

The school identified the most needy families to benefit from the project.
The presentation of the cuddly presents was carried out by Hassan Choonara (Africa Muslim Agency), Muhammed Ravat (Modimolle Muslim Community), along with Azhar Vadi and Ali Kandulu (both of Salaam Foundation).
Vadi said the initiative was in line with the #Ride4SAEducation, which stopped off in Modimolle last year during the 3 000km bicycle pedalling journey from Musina to Cape Town.
“This is one of our programmes where we are giving back to the community. This is to make sure that the children are warmer during cold nights, and are able to get enough rest,” he said.
Vadi said he hoped the gesture will go a long way in changing the lives of children, both in class and at home.
Lekkerbreek Primary School headmaster, Matitela Andries Makgoba, thanked the blanket donors for choosing his school to be among the beneficiaries of the winter campaign.
